I hope the new year is off to a great start for you.
In addition to the personal and professional goals that I’ve set for this year, I’ve also decided to expand the mediums I create content on. This will require some experimentation, vulnerability, embarrassing moments, and hopefully growth in new skills.
I use the term vulnerability because starting from zero is always tough. Having published hundreds of articles and blog posts, written content has always been comfortable and easy for me. Going on camera is not.
I set up a YouTube channel a few months ago in an effort to organize various pieces that I was experimenting with.
In 2021, I want to do more.
I’m not sure how often I’ll be publishing but I’ll strive to do it as often as possible. The content will focus on technology and startups, general business building topics, and professional development themes.
I know that some videos may literally get only 1 or 2 views and others may get dozens or hundreds. I’m ok with that.
If these topics sound interesting to you or you just want to see how my first few videos went, feel free to check out my YouTube channel (link found here). Subscribe to stay updated on new videos (and don’t forget to hit the thumbs up button if you enjoy a video)! Also, if you have ideas on videos I should experiment with, please let me know by replying to this email.
So, why am I doing this? Do I want to become the next YouTube celebrity? Absolutely not. It’s more about continuing to create content and getting out of my comfort zone and trying to find ways to complement my other efforts. Most videos won’t be perfect, but they’ll be me.
There won’t be any changes to my frequency or approach to this newsletter or any of my other work. If anything, I’m hoping comments and feedback from my content here will inspire new video ideas and interviews.
Thanks for joining me on the journey!
