The State of Mental Health In A Year Filled With Stressors

Even if I don’t know you extremely well, I can make a reasonable assertion that 2020 has brought with it struggles and stress that you haven’t faced in quite some time, if ever.
We are dealing with the mental and emotional difficulties associated with a pandemic, an absurdly unusual election, months of social unrest and so many other factors that may be unique to you. It would be irresponsible to say that things have normal.
The topic of mental health and the importance of mental wellness has long been a priority, but I don’t dive into it often enough.
Over the weekend, I published an article titled “What Happens When A Contentious Election Intersects With An Already Challenging Mental Health Crisis.”
In it, I dive into the aforementioned factors and what impact it’s having on many of us. More importantly, I preview some of the solutions that you can and should consider when trying to maintain a healthier mental and emotional state.
We can’t address problems until we acknowledge them. Let this serve as my reminder to you to acknowledge it and address it.
